Its smart-pathing system permits for better maneuverability and the high-pile mode of its carpet cleaning mode is efficient but it could get stuck on the tassels of the rug.
In our tests in our tests, the IQ was able to handle pet hair well, clearing huge amounts of debris from floors with no flooring and fair amounts on medium-pile carpet. It was a little less effective on shag carpet, which was a struggle to reach dirt and dust embedded in the fibers. It was able to navigate the legs of a chair, tiny spaces and even the base of an IKEA wooden step stool. It was slower on floors that were not paved but it was able to recover speed and was more efficient than the other robots we evaluated.
The IQ is a better choice over the iRobot Roomba 694 for most uses. It has a bigger dustbin and a longer battery life and is more adept at navigating around obstacles. It has mopping tools that can remove sticky debris. On the other hand the iRobot is built better and has fewer components that require replacement or maintenance and has lower recurring costs, and can create virtual no-go zones with its companion app. It is able to even resume cleaning from the point it started if it has run out of battery before having completed the task. The iRobot can also be controlled via voice, which can be an advantage for many users.
Eufy 11S
The RoboVac 11S by eufy isn't exactly the most feature-rich robot vacuum on the market however it offers great cleaning power for the price of. It's a budget-friendly option for buyers who don't need a complicated mapping system or app to control the device. The robot can run for more than an hour and includes a remote, cleaning tool, AC power adapter, charging base and extra filters.
The 11S is slim and sleek with an upper deck of tempered glass that covers plastic finished to look like brushed aluminum. It's a nice different from Roomba, Samsung, and Neato designs that are more utilitarian and industrial.
The eufy11S was successful in our tests to remove larger debris and fine dust from hard flooring. However, it was unable to give high and medium pile carpeting an effective deep clean. The device is prone of bumping into furniture and people along its course. However, it is able to detect these obstacles using sensors. It ceases and emits a loud ring when it encounters an obstacle. You can then manually steer the device around it to restart it.
Another excellent feature of the eufy 11S is its BoostIQ mode, which allows you to set the robot to automatically adjust its suction power to match the floor type and the amount of mess. The remote control makes it simple to direct the 11S to your desired location.
